BALTIMORE, Md. – The Notre Dame volleyball team is Colonial States Athletic Conference bound after defeating Bryn Athyn College in the CSAC Semifinals. The Gators downed the Lions straight sets 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-18) to advance to their second consecutive finals.
Sophomore
Alyssa Kerns led the team at the net, posting 12 kills and six blocks. This is her fifth consecutive match with double figure kills, while also posting a .333 hitting percentage.
Junior
Michaila Sheedy added eight kills in the match, while also adding eight kills, hitting for .412. Blocking for the Gators, Sheedy posted two solo blocks.
Seniors
Kayleigh Davis and
Sara Few combined for 13 kills, while junior
Anna Gamble added four, hitting for .667.
Few paced the offense with 31 assists. She also led the team from the service line with three aces.
Defensively, the Gators tallied 48 dig and held the Lions to a .011 hitting percentage. Senior
Mary Marquez and freshman
Ivanella Figueroa each tallied double digit digs in the match.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators are now headed to the CSAC Championship on Saturday. Notre Dame will host the number two seeded Cedar Crest College Falcons. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
