BALTIMORE, Md. – The Notre Dame basketball kicked off their 2019-20 campaign on the road at local opponent, Morgan State University. The Gators fell to the NCAA Division I Bears, 34-113.
In her career debut, freshman
Ayana Brim led the team with 11 points. She posted five field goals and one free throw.
Freshman
Ariana Alleyne added nine points in the game, going 3-for-5 from the free throw line.
Feeding the offense, freshman
Jaylah Lewis tallied an impressive, nine assists in her first career game. She also added seven points and two steals.
On the boards, sophomore
Daija Fitchett tallied eight of the team's 32 rebounds for the game. Fitchett also posted five points in the game.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators will be back in action on Monday on the road as they travel to Penn State Harrisburg. Game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start time.
