BALTIMORE, Md. – In their first home game of the month, the Notre Dame lacrosse team got back in the win column after recording an 18-12 victory over the Bryn Athyn College Lions. The Gators jumped out to an early lead and held on, to advance to 3-2 in Colonial States Athletic Conference play.
Notre Dame jumped on the Lions early, taking a 5-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of regulation. The held Bryn Athyn to just four first-half goals, while finishing the half with 12.
In the second half, the Lions outscored the Gators going on a 6-2 run in the opening 10 minutes of the half. In the back part of the second half, Notre Dame kept Bryn Athyn out of reach, outscoring the Lions, 4-2.
The Gator took the rematch against the Lions, 19-13.
Senior
Megan Morales led the team notching 10 goals in the game. She also paced the team in caused turnovers with four.
Freshman
Julie Hagis added four goals, while leading the team with assists with four. Senior
Kirstin McGee finished the game with two goals and three assists and also led the team in draw controls with nine. Morales was right behind her, notching six.
Junior
Loren Pardoe and freshman Katie Hawkins added one goal apiece.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators are on the road this weekend at Centenary University for a 3:00 p.m. game. They will face each other twice in less than a week as they host the Cyclones on Thursday in their first of three home games to close out the regular season.
