Gators Down Falcons, 25-1

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – In their last road game of the season, the Notre Dame lacrosse team traveled to Cedar Crest College in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.  In their second meeting of the season, the Gators racked up 25 goals, their largest goal mark or the season and their 25-1 victory was their largest score margin. 

Seniors Megan Morales, Kirstin McGee and freshman Julie Hagis combined for 19 goals against the Falcons.  Morales paced the team with seven, while McGee and Hagis finished with six.

Senior Peace Ani and freshman Vanessa Dunn both posted two scores, while freshmen Stephanie Morgan and Katie Hawkins added one apiece.

McGee also picked up one assists in the game, adding to her league-leading 2.60 assist per game margin.  Her six scores and one assist get her closer to the goals and points milestones for her career.  She is now two goals and nine points shy of the 100 goals and 200 points milestones.

Both Morales and McGee have surpassed their career season highs in goals with three games left to play.

Defensively, Hagis and sophomore Michaela Seay tallied one caused turnover and in goal, sophomore Marie Salas finished with four saves.

Morales also led the team in draw controls with 13 while the team finished with 23.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators will finish their regular season with a three game home stand starting on Thursday against Centenary University.  On Saturday, they will honor seniors as they host current number one seeded Keystone College.
