ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. -- Notre Dame volleyball is back to their winning ways after defeating St. Mary's College of Maryland Thursday night. The Gators downed the Seahawks in straight sets 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-17).
On the offensive, the middles pace the team, hitting for over .300. Junior
Michaila Sheedy tallied seven kills with only one error, hitting .462. Sophomore
Alyssa Kerns posted six kills, hitting for .385.
Senior
Kayleigh Davis was the Gator kill leader, finishing the game with nine. Senior
Mary Marquez added six kills in the win.
The Gators victory was backed by a strong defensive effort. As a team, NDMU extended many rallies, keeping tough balls in play. Freshman
Ivanella Figueroa led the team with 12 digs, while Marquez and Davis added eight each.
Kerns added two solo blocks, while Sheedy posted two assists. The team finished with five total blocks.

The Gators have the weekend off, but return to action on Tuesday on the road at Penn State York.
