GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Notre Dame volleyball team picked up their 10
th win of the season Tuesday evening, traveling to Gwynedd Mercy University. The Gators swept the Griffins in straight sets 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-23).
Senior
Kayleigh Davis was the NDMU kills leader, finishing the game with 14 kills. She also added 12 digs and one ace.
Sophomore
Alyssa Kerns tallied nine kills, while also leading the team in blocks with two assists and one solo.
Junior
Michaila Sheedy hit for a team-high, .333, posting seven kills in 18 attempts. From the service line, she also added three aces.
The Gators finished with 40 kills, the fourth time they have posted 40+ kills in a match this season.
Senior
Sara Few paced the team with 30 assists, adding two aces and seven digs.
Defensively, the Gators tallied 66 digs, with freshman
Ivanella Figueroa leading the team with 26. Davis and senior
Mary Marquez combined for 25 digs.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators have the rest of week off from play before returning to action at home on Saturday for a trimatch where they will host Megar Evers and Valley Forge.
