La PLUME, Pa. – The Notre Dame basketball team traveled to Pennsylvania Wednesday night to compete against the current number one team in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, Keystone College. After a valiant effort in the first quarter, the Gators struggled in the second and found themselves down by 24 at the end of the half. Notre Dame attempted to close the gap in the second half, but was outperformed by the Giants, sliding to a 93-58 victory.
Despite the loss, Freshman
Ayana Brim led the team in points with 18. This is her second game this season recording 18 points. Junior
Keyeria Dawson also posted double digits for the third time this season with 10 points total. Sophomore
Daija Fitchett and Brim both led the Gators in rebounds tallying seven each.
The Gators could not match the hot hand of the Giants as they defended their number one spot, shooting an impressive 44% from behind the arc. This game puts the Gators at 6-and-2 in the conference and an overall record of 9-and-5.
