ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Saturday afternoon the Notre Dame Gators played their tenth Colonial States Athletic Conference game. This road game outcome favored the Gators with a six point win over the Cedar Crest Falcons. The Falcons came out strong in the first half matching the Gator's scoring of 15 in the second quarter, ending the half 28-24. The Falcons came out strong at the start of the second half outscoring the Gators 21 to 16. However, the Gators came back in the last quarter and ended the game winning 61-55.
Freshman
Ayana Brim led the Gators in points with 21 against the Falcons. This is her third game this season breaking the 20 point threshold. She also shot an impressive 59 percent from the field.
Freshman
Jaylah Lewis finished as the Gator's second leading scorer, finishing the game with 12 pts. She also finished with three steals leading the team in steals for the game.
Sophomore
Daija Fitchett was one single point shy of a double-double. She posted nine points and 16 rebounds. She helped defend the rim by tallying an impressive 10 defensive rebounds. This raises Fitchett to number one overall in the conference for rebounds, tallying 185 for the entire 2019/2020 season.
This game will advance the Gators to an overall record of 11-5 and 8-2 in the CSAC.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The NDMU basketball team enters another conference heavy week playing at home against Wilson College at 7:00 p.m. They then travel again on Saturday to Clarks Summit to play at 1:00 p.m.
