LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Gators rang in 2020 with an opening road victory at Carin University. Playing down most of the first half, Notre Dame came out charging in the second to take a 79-63 victory.
Leading the Gators in scoring freshman
Ariana Alleyne tallied a career high 26 points, also adding eight assists. She went 11-for-21 from the floor and also posted three free throws.
Also recording a career high, freshman
Jaylah Lewis finished with 17 points, going 7-for-10 from the floor. She posted two assists, while both Alleyne and Lewis led the team with eight steals apiece.
Freshman
Ayana Brim also posted double-digit scoring, finishing with 14 points and reeling in five rebounds.
On the boards, sophomore
Daija Fitchett led the team with 12 rebounds and three blocks. She added eight points in the win.
Sophomore
Stephania Long tied her career-high with eight points for the Gators. Her two field goals came from beyond the arc, while adding two points from the line.
NDMU advances to 7-3 overall and 4-0 in the CSAC.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Gators continue their conference play, picking up their home schedule next week. They will host Rosemont College on Tuesday and College of St. Elizabeth on Thursday. They will finish the week on the road at Bryn Athyn College.
