BALTIMORE, Md. – The NDMU basketball team hosted Colonial States Athletic Conference's Bryn Athyn on Saturday afternoon, playing one of their final regular season games of the 2019/20 season. The Lions stepped onto the Gators home court with eyes for the net, and ended the half 37-30, with Notre Dame taking the lead. In a competitive second half, the Gators stepped up their mentality and easily stole the win 80-55.
Freshman
Ariana Alleyne posted another 22-point game. In the past four games she had hit the 22-point mark three times. This is Alleyne's fifth game this season breaking the 20-point threshold.
Additionally, freshman
Ayana Brim was the second leading scorer recording 18 for the Gators. Sophomore
Daija Fitchett held significant stats for NDMU posting the game with 14 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks. Junior
Keyeria Dawson posted 10 rebounds and freshman
Jaylah Lewis posted 10 points.
This game advances the Gators to 16-7 overall and 12-4 in the CSAC.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Next week, the Gators play their final two games of regular season play. Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. they will host Keystone College. The last regular season game against Centenary University will be away next Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The Gators have clinched a final four spot and will look to host the following week as a strong contender in the CSAC playoffs.
