BALTIMORE, Md. – To start off the second month of the year, the Gators hosted a non-conference game against Christendom College Monday night. The NDMU Basketball team came out of the locker room ready to play and ended the game more than doubling the score against the Crusaders. With the whole team in the same mindset the Gators sailed to an easy victory winning 83-37. 51 of the points scored by the Gators came from turnovers and 24 points were from fast breaks.
Freshman
Ariana Alleyne led the team in points ending the game scoring 21. She also had a total of seven steals. Freshman
Ayana Brim was the second leading scorer of the game posting 16. Freshman
Jaylah Lewis was not far behind in points tallying 14 and also had four assists. Lewis also finished the game with a great defensive effort with six total steals.
This win advances the Gators to 13-6 overall and 9-3 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
WHAT'S NEXT?
NDMU will travel to Rosemont College on Wednesday night to compete in a CSAC game at 7:00 p.m. Then, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon the Gators will host a CSAC game against Cairn University.
