NDMU Soccer Defeated at Wilson

BALTIMORE – Notre Dame of Maryland University's soccer team (3-6-0, 2-3-0 CSAC) suffered a 4-0 defeat against Wilson College (6-5-0, 4-1 CSAC) on Wednesday evening. The Gators made the trip up to Chambersburg, Pennsylvania for its fifth-straight conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Notre Dame (Md.) was on the attack early as Kayla Grube came close to capitalizing on a near chance. The senior gathered and delivered a shot to the far right but Wilson's keeper was able to get the stop.
  • Notre Dame kept Wilson scoreless for the better part of the first half. A relentless attack from the Phoenix late in the first half would prove to be the difference.
  • Wilson scored two goals with five minutes left in the first half to take a 2-0 lead.
  • Emma Alascia saw an opportunity at cutting down the Phoenix lead early in the second but her shot would be nothing more than another chance for the Gators offense.
  • Wilson scored two goals in the second to secure the win.

OF NOTE
  • Notre Dame's offense was kept at bay. The Gators were able to get off two shots while Wilson finished the match with 11 shots on target.
  • Ataesia Norris led the Gators with a game-high seven saves.
  • NDMU's drops to 11-2 all-time against the Phoenix.
