BALTIMORE –
Angel Carino,
Anna Gamble,
Gabbi Taganas,
Stephanie Morgan, and members of the 2019 CSAC Championship team were presented their championship rings on Saturday evening before defeating Clarks Summit University on Saturday evening 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-20) at MBK Complex. Taganas and
Ciarra Bockstie each had 14 kills. The pair were dominant at the net for the Gators throughout the match.
"It was great having the 2019 championship team back in the gym," Head Coach Henry DeTitta said. "After the match we had the alumni talk with the current players to give them some words of wisdom. It's always good when you can make that connection from the past to the present. Especially with a group that accomplished so much."
DeTitta spoke on the win, "Today's match was a tough one. You're always happy to get a win but we certainly have a lot to clean up. Clarks Summit was scrappy. Gave a hundred percent and gave us everything we could handle. We are happy after every conference win but we can't be satisfied with today's game. We have work to do to accomplish our goals."
