BALTIMORE – Notre Dame of Maryland University volleyball team went on the road to take on the Gallaudet Bison a day after Tuesday's win against Bryn Athyn. The Gators suffered a tough 3-0 (17-25, 19-25, 11-25) loss and will drop to 11-11 on the season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Gators struggled to get their offensive attack going in the first set. Gallaudet jumped out to a 12-2 lead before Notre Dame was able to cut into the Bison lead with a few big-time blocks from Ciarra Bockstie. 
• Bockstie led the Gators with three blocks. Miasia Ferrer got her hands on two blocks, and the Gators finished with eight total as a unit. 
• Notre Dame's attack saw a spark in the second set. With the Gators down just one score 19-20, the two teams went back and forth but the Bison would win the set. 
• The Gators had seven players with a kill in the match but their efforts would fall short late. The final set was all Gallaudet. 

OF NOTE

• Angel Carino led the Notre Dame defense with 13 digs. She currently has the second most in the league this season at 306.
• Bockstie is the conference leader with 42 total blocks. 
• Mueller and Natalie Newton had eight assists. Her streak of 12 or more assists ends at eight games. 
• Notre Dame (Md.) is still seeking its first victory against Gallaudet in 15 meetings
