Notre Dame Scores Three Unanswered in Win

BALTIMORE – Notre Dame of Maryland University's soccer team traveled to La Plume, Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon and left with a 3-0 win behind three unanswered goals in the second half. The Gators get their fourth clean sheet of the year in the win. Notre Dame (Md.) will improve to 3-4 in the CSAC and 4-7 on the season. 

  
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Notre Dame (Md.) dominated the first half but had no goals to show for it. The Gators outshot the Giants 20-0. NDMU had four corner chances and left the half with nine shots on target.
  • In the second half, the Gators executed on their chances. Sara Morales delivered a pass into the box that led to a one-touch pass from Anna Choudhary to Andriena Franco-Ramos for a Notre Dame score. 
  • Up 1-0 with over 65 minutes of play, Choudhary received a through ball from Emma Alascia and scored on a right-foot volley to push the Gators lead to two. 
  • Ataesia Norris claimed the clean sheet compiling three saves in the second half when her team needed to stops
  • Roselynn Kamara scored her second goal of the season on a pass late in the half from Chelsea Llivchuzca.

OF NOTE
  • The Gators overwhelmed the Giants with 34 shots, hitting their target on 14 in the win. 
  • Notre Dame reclaims the series lead  7-6 all-time against Keystone
  • The Gators had six corners and held the Giants to three.
