ROSEMONT, PA. – Multiple Notre Dame of Maryland student-athletes from the women's lacrosse and softball teams earned Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Player of the Week honors.
Lacrosse picked up two road wins this week against Wilson College and Centenary University. Softball opened their season by splitting a doubleheader with Valley Forge. For their efforts,
Michaela Seay earned CSAC defensive player of the week for women's lacrosse, and
Sara Morales earned a CSAC Honor Roll nod.

Jessie Leatherwood are your CSAC Honor Roll selections for softball.
Seay, a senior defender from Towson, had six caused turnovers in the 17-7 win at Wilson. She also scored her first goal of the season on Saturday at Centenary. Defensive efforts have kept opposing teams from being able to achieve double-digit goals in any game this season, and help contribute to a +55 goal differential in the Gators four games thus far.
Morales, a sophomore from Joppa, has been a monster in the draw circle, controlling draws and earning possession at high rate. In the two contests this week she contributed a total of eight goals and seven assists for 15 points, while also controlling 23 draws.
In softball, Sophomore, Jessie Leatherwood from Towson, pitched both games of the double header while batting clean-up for the Gators. In the split, 4-5, 6-5 with Valley Forge, she combined to go 3-5 with two walks, an RBI triple, two runs scored and a stolen base. The southpaw pitched 13 innings on the day with a stellar 26:4 K/BB ratio.
Junior, Maci Lopez from Baltimore, hit in the leadoff spot for both games. She set the table beautifully by going 4-7 with two doubles, a walk, an RBI and crossing the plate four times on the day.
Lacrosse wraps up the regular season this Saturday when they host Cedar Crest at Alumnae Field, at 1:00pm. Softball has two doubleheaders scheduled for the week as the Gators travel to Keystone College on Wednesday with first pitch at 3:00pm. Then its off to Cairn College on Friday, first pitch at 3:00pm.
