ROSEMONT, Pa. – For the second straight week, Maci Lopez and Jessie Leatherwood earned CSAC Honor Roll recognition for their achievements in Softball. The Women's Lacrosse team also earned two honors with Averee Radonovich earning CSAC Defensive Player of the Week, and Julie Hagis with Honor Roll recognition.

Lopez is one of the top hitters in the conference, batting .563 on the season. The junior's .632 on-base percentage is currently second in the CSAC. This past week against Keystone and Cairn, the Gators leadoff hitter went 5-9 with a walk, was hit by a pitch, and scored two runs.

Leatherwood pulls double duty as the team's starting pitcher and cleanup hitter for all six games thus far. Across two doubleheaders this week, the sophomore struck out 16 in 13.2 innings pitched. Not to mention picked up two RBI in a game against Keystone. On the season she has struck out 42 batters in 26.2 innings for an 11.2 K/7 innings ratio. Despite NDMU playing the least amount of games in the conference to this point, Leatherwood's 42 Ks rank third in the CSAC.

Onto the lacrosse honorees, each getting their first conference recognition of the year, starting with Radonovich. The speedy freshman was all over the field in Saturday's win over Cedar Crest College. She scooped up four ground balls and nabbed five draw controls giving the Gators a major boost in possession time which allowed the opposing Falcons to only get four shots off the entire game.

Julie Hagis was one of the beneficiaries of the Gators spending so much time in the offensive zone. The 2018-19 Rookie of the Year scored a career high seven goals in victory, bringing her junior season total up to 13.

This week, softball is slated to host its first games of the year on Wednesday when Clarks Summit comes to town for a 3:00pm first pitch at Kiwanis-Wallas Park in Ellicott City. The Gators will then get back on the road to play two with Rosemont College on Saturday at 1:00pm. Gators Lacrosse is the top seed heading into the CSAC semi-finals on Wednesday. They'll find out who they face at Alumnae Field after the outcome of the Keystone vs. Cedar Crest game, tonight at 6:00pm.
