Gators Suffer Tough Loss at Home

BALTIMORE – Notre Dame of Maryland University's soccer team falls to (1-3-0) on the season after a 9-0 defeat at the hands of Goucher College (3-2-0) on Saturday evening. The Gators will look to erase the sour taste from the Gophers loss as they spend the next week preparing for the start of the 2021 CSAC schedule.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sara Morales and Andreina Franco-Ramos led the Gators as both were able to get a shot on target to test the Gophers defense.
  • Goucher got on the board with an early score five minutes into the game. 
  • The Gators would struggle to get going outside of shots from Ramos, Morales, and Emma Alascia
  • The Gophers scored three more in the first and added four goals in the second for the win. 

OF NOTE
  • Julie Mullaney added 11 saves to her season total. The freshman has 36. Ataesia Norris got his first shot in the goal and ended the day with two saves.
  • Morales leads the NDMU offense with 10 shots to date in the new season. 
  • Notre Dame (Md.) is seeking its first win against Goucher after seven meetings.
