ROSEMONT, Pa. – Four Gators totaled 7+ kills to lead a balanced offensive attack, as Notre Dame of Maryland University increased its winning streak to 12 with a 3-1 win at Rosemont on Saturday. Set scores were 25-27, 25-14, 25-17, 25-17.
Rosemary O'Brien led the way with 11 kills, as she reached double figures for a third time in the last four matches for NDMU (14-6, 7-0 CSAC).
Jade Stewart contributed nine kills, a team-high 16 digs and four aces, while

Gabbi Taganas added seven kills with a team-high .438 attack percentage.
Natalie Newton and
Paulina Hernandez were also big factors in the victory. Newton finished with a career-high 15 digs while recording 18 of NDMU's 30 assists, while Hernandez totaled 15 digs and six aces. The Gators once again had a significant advantage on the service line, firing in 16 of the match's 21 aces overall.
After the Ravens (7-11, 4-2 CSAC) edged out the first set, they jumped out to an 11-6 advantage in the second. A kill from Newton, though, began a dominant 19-3 stretch for NDMU to conclude the frame. Newton, Stewart and Hernandez both had a pair of aces during the run, which was finished off by a set-clinching kill from Bockstie.
The Gators again fell behind in the third set, trailing 16-13 midway through, when a Bockstie kill began a 12-1 surge to put the visitors in control. This time, it was Stewart who recorded the final kill to give NDMU a 2-1 set advantage.
The final extended run began with the Gators leading 15-12 in the fourth set, as a Taganas kill ignited a 7-0 stretch for the visitors. A kill from Stewart finished off the match shortly afterwards.
Next up for NDMU is a 7 p.m. home matchup against defending CSAC champions Cedar Crest (9-8, 6-1 CSAC) on Wednesday. The Gators would clinch first place in the regular season conference standings with a victory.
