Soccer Drops Road CSAC Matchup at Cairn

LANGHORNE, Pa. – Grace Miller opened the scoring 19:59 into the contest, and she added a second strike in the 50th minute to help Cairn hand Notre Dame of Maryland University soccer a 4-0 setback on Saturday afternoon.

Makaylah Reyes made a season-high 16 saves in goal for the Gators (3-4-0, 2-2-0 CSAC), who moved back to .500 in Colonial States Athletic Conference play. Teresa Lee totaled a goal and three assists, while Em Kuansongtham had the other goal for the Highlanders (8-4-1, 3-1-0 CSAC).

Mackenzie Lookingland had three of Notre Dame's five shots in regulation, including two which forced saves out of Cairn goalie Isabelle Lazor. Emma Alascia and Sara Morales also registered shots for the visitors.

Cairn picked up a third-straight victory and improved to 6-1-1 at home. With her 16 saves, Reyes has now reached double digits for a fourth time in five starts on the year.

The Gators are back at Alumnae Field for their next three contests, beginning with a 4 p.m. CSAC matchup against Wilson on Wednesday afternoon.
