Lacrosse Rolls Past Keystone 18-8

BALTIMORE, MD – The Notre Dame of Maryland lacrosse team improved to 4-4 on the year and 2-1 in the CSAC with Saturday's 10-goal victory. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sarah Generoso opened up the scoring with her four straight games with a score since stepping away from her goalie duties.
  • Notre Dame's next score came seconds later after a draw control won by Generoso. Brooke Siebert extended the Gators lead on a pass from Sara Morales
  • Morales led the Gators with 10 points, scoring the Gators third and fourth goal to give Dame a 4-0 lead midway through the first.
  • Generoso tallied her 10th goal at the 6:45 mark and Siebert added her second of the game after the Gators regained possession off a draw won by Morales.
  • The captain ended the period with a free position score and Collette Hayes-Williams kept the Giants off the score sheet up 7-0. 
  • Assists leader Jade Stewart got in on the scoring in the second and found Siebert for her fifth hat-trick on the year.
  • Averee Radonovich fed Siebert for her 25th goal of the season. Siebert returned the favor to Morales for her 45th score to push NDMU up 11-4.
  • Notre Dame scored seven goals in the second half to seal the conference win. 

OF NOTE
  • Hayes-Williams tied her previous best with nine saves. She had five stops in the fourth.
  • Hannah Mullaney had a late score and added an assist on the day. She now has six goals and six assists through eight games.
  • Generoso secured her second career hat-trick in the win. She accounted for four goals on only four shots. 
  • Morales scored six goals and accumulated four assists.
  • Siebert posted five goals and accounted for six caused turnovers. 
  • Cesia Diaz led the team with five ground balls, Siebert had four while Radonovich, Mullaney, Stewart, and Morales each had three. 
  • Notre Dame takes the all-time series lead 5-4.
