Gators Lacrosse Punch Ticket to CSAC Championship

BALTIMORE, MD – The Notre Dame of Maryland Lacrosse team outscored Wilson College 15-7 to earn a spot in the CSAC Championship. The Gators will improve to 8-5 on the season and 6-1 against CSAC opponents. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Jade Stewart opened up the game for the Gators with a goal assisted by Sara Morales.
  • Moments later, Sage Lague scored an unassisted goal to get Wilson on the score sheet.
  • To end the quarter, Gators added three more scores to the Phoenix one goal to go up 5-2.
  • Sara Generoso added a goal for NDMU in the second quarter as the Gators went on to outscore Wilson 6-0 in the second period.
  • In the third, Brooke Siebert found Morales to give Notre Dame a 12-2 cushion to start the second half. 
  • In the fourth, Phoenix scored two goals back-to-back to bring the score to 5-14 but Morales answered back with her 8th goal of the day.
  • The Gators caused 16 turnovers as a unit. 
  • NDMU kept Wilson's offense at bay after allowing 13 goals in the regular-season win.

UP NEXT
No. 2 Notre Dame (Md.) will travel to Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania to take on No.1 Bryn Athyn on Saturday, May 7th in the CSAC Championship.
