BALTIMORE –
Rosemary O'Brien set season highs in both kills (7) and attack percentage (.263), leading the Notre Dame of Maryland University attack during a 3-0 defeat to Gallaudet on Wednesday night. Set scores were 25-21, 25-18, 25-19.
Emma Mueller added five kills and 14 assists, while
Paulina Hernandez (15) and
Jade Stewart (14) both reached double figures in digs for the Gators.
Natalie Newton chipped in nine assists and seven digs for NDMU.
Emily Wright finished with a match-high nine kills for the Bison, who won for a fourth time in their last six matches.
All seven of O'Brien's kills came during the opening half of the second set, helping the Gators jump out to a 10-5 lead in the frame. O'Brien now has 15 kills overall through five matches in her debut collegiate season.
NDMU is back home this Saturday, hosting Washington College (11 a.m.) and Gwynedd Mercy (3 p.m.) in a tri-match at MBK Sports Complex.
