BALTIMORE– The Notre Dame of Maryland women's volleyball team continued their win streak defeating the University of Valley Forge in straight sets on Tuesday, Oct. 17. The Gators secured the victory thanks to set scores of 25-13, 25-6 and 25-15.
The Gators (11-8 Overall, 4-1 United East) completely controlled the game thanks to a balanced attack that saw eight different players record kills. Miasia Ferrer led the team with five kills on 10 swings. Gabbi Taganas, Ciarra Bockstie and Myla Palmer each recorded four kills. Natalie Newton powered NDMU's offense recording 20 assists. The Gators also got a boost from the serve, with the team racking up 14 service aces. Paulina Hernandez led the team, recording a career-high eight service aces.
NDMU had a strong defensive outing, posting 49 digs as a team. Hernandez led the way with 13 digs while Jade Stewart posted 11 digs. Candace Forgach-Aguilar reached double figures, posting 10 digs.

The Gators continue United East play when they host Clarks Summit University on Saturday, Oct. 21. The first serve is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
