BALTIMORE– The Notre Dame of Maryland women's volleyball team blasted past Clarks Summit University, defeating the Lady Defenders in straight sets on Saturday, Oct. 21. The Gators secured the victory thanks to set scores of 25-8, 25-12 and 25-11.
The Gators (12-8 Overall, 5-1 United East) completely dominated the game, opening the match on an 18-1 run. The Gators offense was led by Ciarra Bockstie and Gabbi Taganas who each posted five kills. Natalie Newton led the team in assists, registering 11 in the match. NDMU finished the match with 16 service aces including a team-high four aces from Jade Stewart. Stewart also led the team in digs, racking up 11. The Gators controlled each set, building double-digit leads that allowed them to roll to the victory.

The Gators continue United East play when they travel to face Wilson College on Wednesday, Oct. 25. The first serve is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
