BALTIMORE- The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) announced their 2023 Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll on Wednesday, Feb. 8, with Notre Dame of Maryland being picked second with 41 points.
NDMU went 8-6 last season, going 5-1 in conference play. The Gators will be led this season by defending CSAC Coach of the Year Kari-lei Berry. On the field the Gators will be led by first team all-conference player Jade Stewart and second team all-conference members Sarah Generoso and Averee Radonovich.
Defending conference champion Bryn Athyn College was picked as the top team in the conference, receiving 48 points and six first place votes. Wilson College was picked third with 36 points while Cedar Crest College and Keystone College finished in a tie for fourth place.
The CSAC Women's Lacrosse Championship will take place the week of May 1st. On Wednesday, May 3rd semi-finals will be played at top seeds with the championship game played on Saturday, May 6th.
The Gators open the season by hosing Maritime College on Thursday, March 2 at Alumni Field. This will be NDMU's first ever matchup with the Privateers. Maritime went 12-3 last season reaching the Skyline Conference Semifinals.
