Bryn Athyn, Pa.- The Notre Dame (Md.) women's lacrosse team fell to defending CSAC Champion Bryn Athyn College by a score of 17-2 in the team's conference opener on Friday, Apr. 7.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gators (1-8 Overall; 0-1 CSAC) struggled to keep pace with the Lions (5-2 Overall; 1-0 CSAC) in the first quarter, allowing seven goals. Bryn Athyn tacked on another six goals in the second quarter, holding a 13-0 edge at the half.
After falling to score in the third quarter, NDMU started to find some offensive rhythm in the fourth quarter.
Emma Alascia capitalized on a free position opportunity, scoring her 15
th goal of the season. Later in the quarter,
Sarah Generoso gathered up a ground ball and fired a shot into the back of the net.
