BALTIMORE- The Notre Dame of Maryland Men's Soccer Team dropped a nonconference battle with Penn St. Brandywine by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
The Gators got off to strong start earning a pair of corner kicks in the opening six minutes with
Tassilo Lehmkuhl putting a shot on frame. NDMU continued to put pressure on the Lions defense with
Athanasios Ziliaskopoulos and
Hector Alvarez each firing shots that just missed the edge of the goal. Lehmkuhl had the final quality chance of the half, running out on a fastbreak, but could not put a shot on frame.
NDMU continued to generate scoring chances in the second half with
Elija Hanrieder and Lehmkuhl firing shots. Penn St. Brandywine countered a Gator attack in the 61
st minute, scoring to take a 1-0 lead. NDMU tried to find an answer, creating multiple dangerous attacks, but they could not find an answer, falling by a score of 1-0.
WHO'S NEXT?
The Gators will travel to face Albright College on Saturday, Sept. 21. The kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
