BALTIMORE- The Notre Dame of Maryland Women's Soccer team fell to Neumann University in their first road game of the season, losing by a score of 6-0 on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
The Gators were on defense from the start, has the Knights put heavy pressure on the defensive backline. Neumann scored three times in the first half, firing 26 shots and earning nine corner kicks. The goalkeeper duo of Makaylah Reyes and Leah Hasberry combined to make eight saves in the opening half. NDMU was not able to sustain much offensive rhythm, but Malaika Habib was able to pressure Neumann's defense with her speed, but they could not create a scoring opportunity.
NDMU could not get their offense going in the second half, as Neumann continued to smother any offensive momentum. The Knights fired 17 more shots in the second half, scoring three more times. Hasberry did make five more second half saves.

The Gators will remain on the road traveling to face Juniata University on Saturday, Sept. 7. The kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 PM
