BALTIMORE, MD – Notre Dame of Maryland dropped a 5–0 decision to Penn State Harrisburg in United East Conference play Wednesday afternoon at Alumnae Field.
The Gators (2–6, 1–1 UEC) were under pressure early as PSU Harrisburg (5–4–2, 2–0 UEC) tallied three goals in the opening half. Diana Pon opened the scoring in the sixth minute before adding another in the 38th. Ava Fox extended the visitors' lead to 3–0 just before halftime.
Penn State Harrisburg added two more goals in the second half. Serenity Hill struck just over a minute into the frame, and Mackenzie Mowery closed the scoring in the 79th minute.
Despite the loss, goalkeeper
Leah Hasberry turned in a strong performance for Notre Dame of Maryland, making 13 saves on 37 total shots faced.
Notre Dame was unable to generate a shot offensively but showed grit on the defensive side, with midfielders

Olivia Messercola,
Leah Acri, and
Sophie Wisniewski all going the full 90 minutes. Defenders

Tessa Wiles also logged heavy minutes against a relentless Lions attack.
The Gators return to action this weekend as they continue conference play when they travel to Penn College on Saturday, October 4 at 3:30 PM in Williamsport, PA.
