BALTIMORE, Md. – The Notre Dame of Maryland University women's basketball team put two players in double figures as the Gators (11-12, 9-5 United East) defeated Penn State Harrisburg (15-7, 9-5 United East) 63-50 on Wednesday night.
Amani Watts scored a game-high 19 points for the Gators, with
Elena Rodriguez netting 16.
Amya Durham had nine for NDMU, who has just two games left in the regular season.
Penn State Harrisburg got 17 points and ten rebounds from Jordan Carpenter.
The Gators bounced back from a cold shooting first quarter and made six of their 14 baskets in the second quarter, taking a 24-21 lead into intermission. The Gators outscored Penn State Harrisburg, 39-29 in the second half as Harrisburg converted on just one three pointer in the final three quarters on 16 attempts.
Durham and
Bethani Newbold each had three steals for NDMU, who goes to Keystone on Saturday.
