LAPLUME, Pa. -
Amani Watts poured in a game-high 26 points on 11-for-14 shooting as the Notre Dame of Maryland University women's basketball team cruised to a 76-55 win over Keystone on Saturday afternoon.
Watts just missed a double-double as she grabbed nine rebounds, seven of them on the defensive side.
Elena Rodriguez had 19 points and five assists with
Amya Durham getting 18 points off of the bench for the Gators (12-12, 10-5 United East).
For Keystone (14-9, 8-6 United East), Iysis Nickens had 16 points with Izza Rosario getting 14 points.
The Gators were anchored by their defensive play, as Keystone only converted on 28.1 percent of its shots (18-for-64) and just six of its 26 three-point attempts (23.1 percent). On the opposite side, the Gators were a red-hot 54.7 percent from the field in the game (29-for-53) with an 8-for-11 jawn in the second quarter (72.7 percent).
Bethani Newbold also had five assists, with Watts getting three blocks and two assists.
Yasmeen Yussuf had a game-high 12 rebounds to go along with four steals.
The Gators close the regular season hosting Lancaster Bible on Tuesday.
