LA PLUME, PA - Notre Dame of Maryland delivered a dominant wire-to-wire performance Saturday afternoon, rolling past Keystone 75–34 at Ace Spalding Arena.
The Gators set the tone early and never looked back, holding Keystone to just five points in the opening quarter while building a commanding 21–5 lead. Notre Dame's defensive pressure forced turnovers from the opening tip, and the Gators consistently turned those stops into points in transition.
Amani Watts led the way with a game-high 23 points and 13 rebounds, controlling the paint on both ends and finishing efficiently around the basket.
Madison Simmons added 13 points and five steals, helping fuel Notre Dame's fast-break attack, while
Raina Burns chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds.
Notre Dame pushed the margin to 34–19 by halftime and came out even sharper after the break. The Gators outscored Keystone 26–10 in the third quarter, stretching the lead beyond 30 behind a balanced scoring effort and relentless work on the glass. Notre Dame finished with a 48–29 rebounding advantage and scored 42 points in the paint.
Allison Holman provided a strong spark off the bench with nine points and four assists, while
Aaliyah Conteh and Tristan Savage combined for 12 points as Notre Dame's depth continued to wear down Keystone late.
The Gators closed the game with a steady fourth quarter, never allowing Keystone to threaten as the lead ballooned to more than 40 points in the final minute.
Notre Dame shot 43.8 percent from the field, forced 26 turnovers, and held Keystone to 27.1 percent shooting in a complete performance that reinforced the Gators' position at second in the United East standings.
Notre Dame will return home to host Cairn University on Tuesday, January 27th at 7 PM. Cairn is currently sporting a 2-15 overall record and are 1-8 in conference play.
