BALTIMORE - The Notre Dame of Maryland men's soccer team saw its three-match winning streak come to an end on Tuesday afternoon to league-leading Penn State Abington, who left the Turf Field Sponsored by the SSNDs with a 3-0 victory over the Gators.
The Gators' defense held firm in the first half, facing a dozen shots, but the 12th and final one from the Nittany Lions found the back of the net with a single second left in the half.
The Nittany Lions would tack on two more goals in the second half to walk away with the win.
The Gators faced 25 shots on goal while mustering eight of their own; Liam Wahlgren Pedersen recorded six saves in goal for the Gators.
The Gators are 4-4-2 on the season and 3-2 in conference play. They are back at home to host Keystone on Saturday, which will be the Gators' senior day.
