BALTIMORE – Notre Dame of Maryland men's soccer senior
Myles Tanksley has been selected to attend the 2027 NCAA Division III Student Immersion Program in conjunction with the NCAA Convention, which is scheduled for January 12-15 in Anaheim, California.
"I am excited for Myles to be selected to take part in the Student Immersion Program" said Director of Athletics and Wellness
Dr. Ashley Wagner. "Myles has been an integral part of SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) and I know being a part of this program will help Myles in the future."
Tanksley, who currently serves as the SAAC President at NDMU, is one of 40 student-athletes selected from across Division III to participate in the Student Immersion Program.
"I am truly grateful for this opportunity and honored to represent Notre Dame of Maryland University at the 2027 NCAA Division III Student Immersion Program and NCAA Convention," said Tanksley. "I'm excited to learn from professionals across Division III, build meaningful connections, and continue growing as a student, leader, and future professional in college athletics."
Per the NCAA's website, "The program is intended for junior or senior Division III student-athletes who have an interest in leadership development and in pursuing a potential career in college athletics, such as coaching or administration."
Student-athletes are exposed to the Division III governance structures and NCAA Convention activities and have opportunities to engage with administrators, coaches and national office staff, as well as building professional networks that support long-term career exploration.
"I appreciate the confidence the university has placed in me in representing them at the NCAA Convention," said Tanksley "and I look forward to bringing back what I learn to benefit our campus community and athletic department."
