BALTIMORE - The Notre Dame of Maryland women's soccer team won on their senior day, 8-0, over Keystone this afternoon at the Turf Field Sponsored by the SSNDs.
The Gators recognized their five seniors before the match -
Leah Hasberry,
Adrienne Villa,
Jillian Seay,
Malaika Habib, and
Ariana Rodriguez - and featured all five in the starting eleven.
Alex Busick opened the scoring in the third minute before Seay doubled the lead in the eighth minute. Seay's goal came from a
Taylor Edwards corner kick, with Seay redirecting the ball into the back of the net after a Rodriguez header.
Edwards assisted Busick to make it 3-0 in the 12th minute.
Melanie Castillo Rodriguez scored her first collegiate goal, finishing with a flick from an
Ava Tippett cross.
Tippett would score twice in a 30-second span late in the half to give the Gators a six-goal lead heading into the break.
Castillo Rodriguez would assist Busick as the sophomore finished off her hat trick. Busick is the first Gator to record a hat trick since Seay did so on October 14th, 2023 against Valley Forge.
Castillo Rodriguez picked up a brace to wrap up the scoring, with Seay assisting her freshman teammate for the game's final goal.
In the 70-minute match, the Gators recorded 43 shots, with 26 shots on goal. The Gators did not allow a shot in the match.
