BALTIMORE – The Notre Dame of Maryland women's soccer team faced Immaculata on Saturday afternoon at the Turf Field Sponsored by the SSNDs, and the Mighty Mocs ended the game with a 4-1 win.
Immaculata scored three goals in a six-minute stretch to take a commanding lead.
Alex Busick scored her second goal of the season in the 41
st minute to pull a goal back for the Gators.
Busick led NDMU with seven shots and was responsible for all three shots on target.
Busick, along with
Olivia Messercola, each had shots that hit off the woodwork, denying NDMU goal-scoring opportunities.
The 79
th minute saw a through ball lead
Ava Tippett past Immaculata's defense, and Tippett drew a red card against a Mighty Mocs defender; five of the Gators' 11 shots came against the man-down defense.
Leah Hasberry had a busy day in goal, facing 26 shots and 13 shots on goal; the senior recorded nine saves.
The Gators are back in action on Tuesday to host Penn State Schuylkill at 4 p.m.
