BALTIMORE – Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day, scheduled for Wednesday, September 9^th, highlights the five home events the Notre Dame of Maryland athletic department will host this week on campus.

The Gators' Women's Soccer program opened their season with a 3-1 loss to Widener before closing the weekend with a 2-1 win over Goucher.

Taylor Edwards scored the first goal of 2026 against Widener; Alex Busick opened the scoring against Goucher before freshman Ava Tippett scored her first collegiate goal late in the second half to give the Gators their first win of the season.

Leah Hasberry has recorded 19 saves through the first two matches, which ranks second in the United East Conference. The senior has 428 career saves and is closing in on the school's all-time saves record.

Marymount women's soccer is winless through two road games, being out-scored 5-0. The Saints are coming off a 2025 season where they went 11-9-2 overall and qualified for the NCAA Tournament.

The Gators are 0-3 all-time against the Saints, with the last matchup taking place in 2023.

Immaculata are 0-1 on the season, losing 2-0 to Stockton last Thursday. The Mighty Macs went 4-10-1 last season and have won eight of the nine all-time matches against NDMU; this is the first time these two teams are playing since the 2017 season.

The Gators' men's soccer program opened the 2026 season with a 2-2 draw against Goucher this past Saturday, their best-ever result against the Gophers.

Athanasios Ziliaskopolous assisted Maxime Baux for NDMU's first goal before Ziliaskopolous drew the penalty and converting the spot kick for the Gators' second goal.

Carlow are 1-1 on the season, with a 5-1 loss to Penn State-Greater Allegheny preceding a 1-0 win over Washington and Jefferson.

The Celtics went 2-12 last season, and this is the first-ever matchup between these two teams.

The Gators close the weekend on Saturday against Methodist, who are 1-0-1 on the season, which includes a 3-1 win over Division II Barton College and a 2-2 draw against Shenandoah.

The Monarchs went 6-4-11 in 2025 and will face the Gators for the first-time ever.

The Gators opened the season with a 1-2 record, with all three matches being sweeps. The Gators fell to Washington College before defeating Hood on Saturday; NDMU fell in straight sets to Shenandoah to end the weekend.

Oliviya Rodriguez is third in the conference with six assists per set, while Kaliyah Brown is fifth with 3.56 kills per set and third with 4.22 points per set; after recording nine aces against Hood, Elena Aungst is second in the league with 1.13 aces per set.

The Gators host McDaniel to close out Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day on Wednesday. McDaniel is 3-0 on the season with wins over Hood, Susquehanna, and Rutgers-Newark.

The Gators are 2-6 all-time against the Green Terror; last season, NDMU claimed a 3-1 victory.

The Gators face Lackawanna in their first match at Messiah; the Falcons are 0-2 on the season as they transition from NJCAA to Division II.

Messiah is 3-1 on the season with wins over Buffalo State, Olivet, and Lycoming. This will be the first-ever matchup between the Gators and the Falcons.
