Falcons Hold Gators to One Hit in Doubleheader Sweep

BEL AIR, MD - Allison Holland held College of Notre Dame to just one hit over two games pitched as visiting Cedar Crest defeated the Gators by a 15-0 score in game one and 11-0 in game two. The Gators fell to 0-16 overall and 0-14 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play while the Falcons improved to 9-15 and 6-10, respectively.

Holland held Notre Dame to no hits while striking out 11 in the circle in game one. Each Cedar Crest player in the lineup had at least one hit and one run scored in game one, led by Sam Makey's 2-for-4 performance, including a home run and two runs scored. Notre Dame pitcher Jessie Godack (Middle River, MD/Kenwood) took the loss in the circle for the Gators.

Holland continued her dominance in the circle in game two, allowing just one hit and two walks in six innings. Sarah Campbell led the Falcons with a 4-for-5 performance with four RBI and two runs scored.

The Gators honored their four graduating senior student-athlete's between games. Today's contest was the last home contest for Notre Dame, which was played at Harford Community College.

Notre Dame will finish the regular season the week, beginning with a 4 p.m. CSAC doubleheader at Gwynedd-Mercy on Tuesday.
