Immaculata, PA – Terry leads the way for College of Notre Dame of Maryland lacrosse against Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Immaculata University.
Allison Terry (Perry Hall, MD/Catholic) brings her season total to 56 goals after recording four goals against the Mighty Macs on Wednesday afternoon. The sophomore opened up the scoring fifteen seconds into regulation. She pulled down the draw control and made a direct run at goal, beating the Immaculata goalie.
The Gators would take a 2-0 lead at the 28:31 mark when Terry found classmate Molly Murray (Aberdeen, MD/Aberdeen) who beat her defender and placed a shot just past the goalie’s stick. Ashley Cumberland (Baltimore, MD/Kenwood) rounded out the scoring for Notre Dame on the half with a goal with just under one minute remaining.
Terry carried her strong offensive play over into the final thirty minutes of play. The midfielder again started the scoring early in the second half, thirty-nine seconds to be exact, on a free position goal. She found herself on a hash mark with 28:05 remaining in the half and converted her second free position opportunity. Terry wrapped up her strong performance with a third free position goal with 3:01 on the clock. Even with a strong effort all around offensively the Gators fell 14-6 to the Mighty Macs.
Terry finished the game with four goals, two assists, five draw controls, four groundballs and two caused turnovers. Murray posted one goal, three groundballs and three draw controls. Sam Burley (Cockeysville, MD/Perry Hall) and Lauren McCusker (Sparrows Point, MD/Sparrows Point) each had two caused turnovers. Nicole Walters (Joppa, MD/Mercy) made 10 saves in sixty minutes of work between the pipes.
College of Notre Dame is back in action on Friday, April 15th when they host Centenary College at 4:30pm on Alumnae Field.
