Baltimore, Md. -
The Notre Dame of Maryland earned their third win in a row with a 14-1 victory over Rosemont College this afternoon on Alumnae Field. With the win, the Gators improve their record to 5-4 and 3-2 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), while the Ravens are still searching for their first win in 11 tries.

Ashley Cumberland (Baltimore/Kenwood) scored the game’s first goal at 27:33, and Allison Terry (Towson/Baltimore Catholic) got on the board three minutes later.

Rachel Jones (Westminster/Francis Scott Key) scored off a pass from Kelsey Kempf (Huntingtown) to extend Notre Dame’s lead to 3-0 at 19:21, and Terry scored her second goal of the game thirty seconds later. Molly Murray (Aberdeen) scored her first goal of the game at 18:10, and Terry had back to back goals before a Rosemont own goal made it a 8-0 game with just over ten minutes in the first half. Katie Johnston (Baltimore/Catholic) scored at 9:50 and Cumberland converted on a free position shot at 3:30 to put the hosts up 10-0 at halftime.

Kempf made it 11-0 in favor of Notre Dame just two minutes into the second half, but Powell Davis scored for the Ravens at 22:49 to make it 11-1. Murray, Lindsey Miller(Baltimore/Sparrows Point), and Sam Burley (Baltimore/Perry Hall) each added second half goals to give the Gators their best win streak all season.

Terry, who currently leads Division III in goals per game with 5.88, lead all scorers with four goals, while Murray, last week’s CSAC Player of the Week, added two groundballs and two draw controls.

The Gators have little time for rest as they travel to Washington, D.C. for a non-conference game at Trinity. Opening draw with the Tigers is set for 4:00 p.m.
