Lacrosse Falls To Immaculata, Ends Season in the Playoffs

Box Score Immaculata, Pa. --  Notre Dame of Maryland University was unable to overcome an early deficit as they fell to Immaculata University in the first round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference Playoffs. 

Mighty Mac’s took advantage of an early 3-0 lead, and pushed it to a 9-2 lead at the break.  The  hosts extended their lead in the second half, keeping the Gators scoreless until the last ten minutes of the half, defeating Notre Dame 16-4.

Rachel Jones (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key) led Notre Dame with two goals, pushing her season total to nine.  Sophomore Brittany Peddicord (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) added her 27th goal and an assist, while sophomore Katie Johnston (Baltimore, Md./Catholic) chipped in with her 14th of the year.

The Gators finish their season at 8-7 and reached the playoffs for the second straight year.  Senior Alli Terry (Towson, Md./Catholic) became the school’s all-time scoring leader, pushing her school record to 271 career goals.
