Terry's Nine Goals Helps Lead Notre Dame to CSAC Victory Over Cedar Crest

Box Score Allentown, Pa. --  Senior Alli Terry (Towson, Md./Catholic) scored nine goals in a game for the second time of her career to help lead the Notre Dame of Maryland University lacrosse team to a 20-10 victory over Colonial States Athletic Conference rival Cedar Crest College.

Terry added an assist to her efforts on the way to scoring her 21st goal of the year.  Senior Molly Murray (Aberdeen, Md.) added four goals with sophomore Brittany Peddicord (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) notching three and an assist..  Sophomore Katie Johnston (Baltimore, Md./Catholic) chipped in with two goals. Senior Rachel Jones (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key) added a goal and an assist and sophomore Kate Donadio (Reistertown, Md./Franklin) added a goal.   

Senior goalkeeper Emily Langton (Mays Landing, N.J./Holy Spirit) recorded five saves to earn her first win of the season.

Peddicord opened the gates early in the game, scoring the first goal just 27 seconds in the game.  Terry then notched two goals in the next two minutes to give the team an early 3-0 lead 2:30 into the contest.

After a Cedar Crest goal, Murray scored her first goal of the game.   Peddicord then scored her second of the day to answer a second Falcon goal and also assisted on Donadio's third goal of the season to give the Gators the 6-2 lead at the middle of the half.

Terry scored her third goal of the game before Cedar Crest added a third goal with 13 minutes remaining in the opening half.  Terry and Johnston both added a goal in the final minutes of the half with Terry scoring with just 37 seconds remaining in the half.  Three goals by the Falcons gave the Gators the 9-6 halftime lead.

Notre Dame returned from the break ready to fire as they knocked in 11 goals, led by Terry's five.  Murray added three goals while Peddicord, Jones and Johnston each added a goal. 

Murray and Peddicord each pushed their season total to 11 goals this year, while Johnston now has six. 

Notre Dame improves their record to 3-3 on the year and will return to action Tuesday as they will host CSAC foe Gwynedd-Mercy College.
