Stephanie Miller (Darnestown, Md./Northwest) scored twice and also paced the team with six total hits, including a double, triple and an inside the park home run while chipping in with four RBI's. Junior
Colleen McCauley (Hagerstown, Md./St. Maria Goretti) knocked her first career home run on her way to contribute four RBI's in the doubleheader.

Ashley Fallon (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood) concluded the day with three RBI's and hit a double and triple while throwing for 13 strikeouts in six innings of work in the opener. Junior
Tawny Cevora (Norfolk, Va./Lake Taylor) threw seven strikeouts in three innings while Miller punched out each batter she faced in her two innings of action.
Trinity Washington started out well, scoring two runs in the first inning to gain a 2-0 lead in the first game and after an opening inning run by Notre Dame, scored by Miller on Kehr's first triple on the day, the Tigers took a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the third. The Gators then had their first multiple-run inning as Miller started the inning with a single, and after back-to-back triples by Kehr and Lancellotti, and a single by junior
Marylu Ortiz (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino), Notre Dame took a 4-2 lead and never looked back.
The squad used a five-run fifth inning to push their lead to 9-2, fueled by big hits. After Lancellotti reached first on a Tiger error, Kehr knocked a ball to the fence, and out ran the throw back to the infield for a two RBI home run. Junior
Aubrey Janson (Baltimore, Md./Institute of Notre Dame) walked and scored on Fallon's double, who advanced to third while freshman
Margaret Pedersen (Brick, N.J.) walked to put runners on the corners. Miller knocked her double to score both Fallon and Pedersen.
The Gators answered a run in the top of the sixth by Trinity Washington by notching two runs when McCauley hit a double to score Lancellotti and Kehr and secured an 11-3 game one victory.
Notre Dame continued their scoring by notching three runs to open the nightcap, starting with Miller's lead -off homer. Cevora followed with a triple and scored on another Lancellotti double. Lancellotti scored on a sacrifice hit by Kehr to give the hosts a 3-0 lead.
The Tigers scored a run in a third inning to provide hope for the visitors, but an 11-run third inning by the Gators put the game out of reach. Kehr started the rally by advancing to third on an error by the leftfielder. McCauley then knocked Kehr in on a shot that easily cleared the outfield fence. Ortiz followed with a single and scored on a Fallon triple ,and after a Pedersen walk, scored on another single by Miller. Cevora then knocked her second triple of the game to score both runners and scored on a ball hit by Lancellotti, placing Lancellotti on second with just one out in the inning. A single by Kehr moved Lancellotti to third and after McCauley was hit by a pitch, the Gators saw bases loaded.
Ortiz moved the runners on a sacrifice, scoring Lancellotti for the team's eighth run of the inning. With two runners in scoring position, Janson swatted a triple to score both Kehr and McCauley. Fallon then finished the Gators scoring barrage with a single which allowed Janson to score, giving Notre Dame a 14-1 lead.
Miller entered the pitching circle in the fourth inning and quickly finished the game as she struck out the next six Tiger batters to help the hosts claim their second sweep of the 2014 season.
The Gators will now enter a busy weekend as they will travel to face three Colonial States Athletic Conference foes, starting on Friday with a doubleheader at Rosemont College. The team will then continue north as they travel to Cedar Crest College on Saturday and will conclude their weekend with a single game at Centenary College, a game that was called in the second inning due to rain.
