Box Score 2 Washington, D.C. -- Notre Dame of Maryland University fell to SUNY Cobleskill and Gallaudet University in Sunday's softball action.
In Sunday's first game, SUNY Cobleskill notched five runs in the first inning which would be too much for Notre Dame to overcome as the Gators fell 15-2. In the day's second game, the Gators captured an early 5-1 lead, but would be unable to overcome a seven-run fourth inning by the Bison to fall 11-6.

Tawny Cevora (Norfolk, Va./Lake Taylor) added three hits, with two doubles, while scoring three runs.

Ashley Fallon (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood) knocked her first career home run, smashing the ball over the left field fence, and joined sophomore

Meghan O'Connor (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) with
multiple-hit days. Sophomore
Morgan Ward (Randallstown, Md./Western Tech) notched two runs.
Notre Dame changed the scoreboard early, scoring two runs in the first inning. After the hosts narrowed it to 2-1 after their first inning, the Gators added two more runs in the second inning, held a 5-1 advantage heading into the bottom of the fourth inning.
In the inning, the Bison would take an 8-5 lead. The Gators tried to answer as Fallon would belt her homer to open the fifth inning, but would be unable to notch any more rus and would fall 11-6.
Notre Dame will return to the D.C. area on Friday as they are scheduled to visit rival Trinity Washington University for the squad's first doubleheader of the season.
