Frederick started the Gators early-game run by scoring less than three minutes into the game. Ten minutes later, Butto would start a 5-0 Notre Dame rally that would span just three minutes, starting at the 19:23 mark. 15 seconds later, Talbott would score from Peddicord and Butto would add a free position goal in 40 more seconds giving the Gators a 4-0 lead.
At 17:35 left in the first half, Peddicord would find the net, and Butto would score her second of the game a minute later to provide Notre Dame a 6-0 advantage less than 14 minutes into the conference tilt.
The two teams would then go scoreless until Rosemont scored to get the Ravens on the scoreboard. The Raven goal would give Notre Dame a spark as the visitors would add two more goals in the next minutes to move the Gators lead to 8-1 with 4:29 remaining in the opening frame.
Rosemont would seemingly find their way as they would notch three goals over the half's last two minutes to reduce the Gators lead to 8-4 entering intermission. Butto would open the final frame by giving Notre Dame a 9-4 lead just 74 seconds into the period, but the Ravens would respond by going on a three-goal rally to move within 9-7 with 22:25 remaining in the game.
However, this would be the closest the hosts would come to Notre Dame as Butto would score back-to-back goals and Naylor would also score to improve the lead to 12-7. After Rosemont scored again, Peddicord would find the net off a pass from K. Olson to give Notre Dame the 13-8 victory.
With the win, the Gators improved to 4-2 on the year, and 3-2 in the CSAC. The squad will return to action on Tuesday as they will host crosstown rival Goucher College on Alumnae Field.
