Brea Kehr (Dundalk, Md./Bridgewater College) led the team, by posting four hits with one double. Senior
Tawny Cevora (Norfolk, Va./Lake Taylor) and freshman
Meghan O'Connor (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) each added two hits, and a team-high two runs scored. Senior
Ashley Fallon (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood) ended two runs batted in.
In the day's first game, Marywood bested the Gators 16-0. The nightcap saw the Gators score two runs in the third and fifth innings. In the third, Cevora and O'Connor reached base with two singles, and advanced on Kehr's double, allowing Cevora to score. O'Connor would score on a sacrifice fly by sophomore
Wendi Winkelman (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco). The fifth inning saw Cevora and O'Connor cross the plate on a single by Fallon. The four runs would not be enough as Notre Dame fell 12-4 in the game.
The Gators will return to action on Monday as they take on Cabrini College at Druid Hill Park. On Tuesday, the squad will visit Immaculata University.
