Megan Morales (Joppa, Md./Catholic) broke a school record by scoring 11 goals to help guide the Notre Dame of Maryland University lacrosse team to a 20-12 victory over Rosemont College in a Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup Wednesday.

irstin McGee (Middle River, Md./Catholic) added six goals to the effort while juniors
Carrie Naylor (Elkridge, Md./Mount de Sales),
Khamaree Owens (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) and
Brittany Smith (Parkville, Md./Howard Community College) added a goal each. Morales and Naylor also tallied an assist.
Morales also picked up 12 draw controls with Smith posting nine. McGee and Naylor tied for the team's lead with five ground balls each.

McGee gave the Gators a quick lead by scoring just 35 seconds into the game. Rosemont answered, but Morales responded quickly followed by another McGee goal, and two more goals by Morales gave Notre Dame a 4-1 lead less than eight minutes into the contest.
After another Rosemont goal, the Gators went on a five goal rally, with Morales scoring three goals, and McGee and Naylor both netting a goal. The Ravens stopped the run, but back-to-back goals by McGee and Morales pulled Notre Dame ahead 12-3. Rosemont narrowed the gap with two goals, bring the score to 12-5 heading into halftime.
After the break, the Morales opened the second half with her eighth goal of the game, answered by Rosemont. McGee and Morales responded with another set of goals to push the advantage back to 15-6. After the Ravens found the net for a seventh time, Morales, Smith and Owens would score, with Morales and Smith scoring off free position shots to take an 18-7 lead.
Rosemont responded with their own three-goal run, but McGee and Morales went back-to-back a third time to give the Gators the 20-10 lead. The guests scored two more goals in the final minutes of the game to make the 20-12 final score.
Morales bested the old record held by Ally Terry, set in 2013 against Cedar Crest College, and Anne Shippen, who set the previous record in 2006 against Rowan University.
Notre Dame ended a five game losing streak with the win, and will look to bring momentum into their next contest as they host Marywood University in another CSAC clash. Notre Dame will also recognize the team's lone senior,
Jessica Marx (Edgewood, Md./Joppatowne) prior to the game.
