Softball Falls At Cabrini

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Radnor, Pa.  --  The softball team for Notre Dame of Maryland University visited Cabrini College Friday for a Colonial States Athletic Conference softball doubleheader but fell in both games.

The Gators were led by senior Tawny Cevora (Norfolk, Va./Lake Taylor) who finished with two hits.

The Cavaliers captured the opener with a 13-0 victory.  The nightcap saw Notre Dame score two runs in the third inning.  Freshman Lilly Gordon (Delta, Pa./Kennard-Dale) started the inning with a single to left field and advanced to second on a ball hit by junior Margaret Pedersen (Brick, N.J.).  After Cevora singled to advance the pair to second and third, freshman Paola Castillo (San Pedro Sula, Honduras/Escuela International Sampedrana) singled up the middle to score Gordon.  Pedersen then crossed the plate on a sacrifice fly by junior Wendi Winkelman (Baltimore, Md./Patapsco).

However, it would not be enough as Notre Dame fell 10-2 in the contest.

The Gators return to action Saturday as they will travel to Summit University for another CSAC doubleheader.
