Box Score Aston, Pa. -- The Notre Dame of Maryland University lacrosse team won the second half but it wouldn't be enough as the squad fell to Colonial States Athletic Conference foe Neumann University Saturday.
Freshman
Megan Morales (Joppa, Md./Catholic) notched two goals and a team-high six draw controls. Sophomore
Kaitlyn Walter (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) added a goal and and assist.
Junior
De'Ja Martin (Salisbury, Md./Wicomico) finished with the team's lead with four ground balls.
In the second half, Morales posted her first of the day with just over 18 minutes remaining. After the Knights answered, Walter found the net with 7:51 remaining. The hosts scored again, but Walter then found Morales with just under three minutes left in the game to give Notre Dame a 3-2 advantage in the second half. However, the three goals would not enough to overcome a first half deficit, falling 15-3 in the game.
The team will conclude their season on Tuesday as they host Bryn Mawr College on Alumnae Field.
